Cisco Visual Voice Mail

Hello Experts, I just replaced a phone for a user who had VVM trial based service on her phone. I obviously didn't know about it until I took the old phone out from CCM. Now, I am trying to add this service back on her new phone but I am unable to find anything about it  in UCM and in Unity!!!!!

I looked under Subscribe/Unsubscribe services, Voice Mail Pilot number, Phone Services and there is nothing close to VVM. I also looked in Unity but found nothing!!! How this was working on her phone? How can I add this back again? Thanks a lot

This would be defined as IP phone service. In CUCM go to Device --> Device Settings --> Phone Services, and review all of the services listed there, one should be defined with destination of UCXN server, such as:

http://<voicemail server info>/midlets/VisualVoicemail/VisualVoicemail.jad

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cupa/visual_voicemail/8-5/install/guide/vv_install/configure.html#wp1055020

Then once you figure out the name, subscribe the phone to this service if the service is not set as enterprise.

Also, what phone model did the user receive and used before (if different)?

Thanks Chris for your response...

I don't see anything close to mentioned url or VVM service. I do see a service call voicemail with Service url set to-Application:Cisco/Voicemail and service category xml service and service type-messages

older model was 7970 sccp moved to 8861 SIP

This is not the one, this is regular voicemail service.  If it's not there then I don't see how it worked, perhaps she had it sometime before.

Can you post screen shot of the list of all of your phone services?

my apologies I am not allow to do that.....I know it makes things complicated for someone trying to help!!! However, I have checked every single service and none of them have url address. Users can also go to a website to check their VMs. Is this has anything to do VVM?

Visual voicemail on physical phone is driven via the IP service, if you don't have it built that means it's not in use.

Yes, users have access to visual voicemail via https://<UCXN>/inbox link.

Chris

I appreciate your input...I will go ahead and configure this from the scratch.

Documentation : missing configuration steps visual VM on 88xx phones
CSCuq94508
Symptom:
Documentation : "VVM client on 88xx is not supported as a midlet"

Conditions:
Document needs to be updated specifying a note that "VVM client on 88xx is not supported as a midlet"

Visual Voicemail is supported on 8861 phone but not as a midlet.
In order to use VVM, it is required to create additional service and subscribe it to the phone instead of Visual Voicemail service used on other phones.

Workaround:
