Do you have proper configuration in IMP including the postgresql database?

first add your external file server and fill all parameters with correct value,
then probably you will get error for xcp services, its ok for now, leave it and go to file server menu,
enable "managed file transfer" option, then add your DB-Server and File-Server, save it,
now you can view the public ip of cup-server, click on it, copy it, and go to your-linux-file-server, find authorized-keys file, add the public-key of cup to this file, save it,
then go back to cup-server, go to services, restart "Cisco XCP Router", then start "Cisco XCP File Transfer Manager",
then go back to messaging, external file server, now you must see everything is green and ok and ready to use..
