Hi,

Anyone have idea why were getting several of these informational event log entries?? A dozen or so happen every hour. Is this normal?

The details of event log are AvODBC.. opened new diag log file then a pathname and filename.

Can you be more specific? Can you post the actual event?

H. M.

H.M., Here you go. All of these are 1004's event IDs.

They are all informational, and no warnings or errors in event log besides these informational entries.

I have pulled up the text files in the logs folder, and they are only 1-2k and only have 3-4 lines. First line is about log file being opened, second line is message from detail before and thats about it.

Just curious as there alot of these informational entries filling up the log.

This is on a system running 4.0(4) ES20. They had the AvCsMgr bug that ES20 fixes. These log entries were occurring before ES20 was applied though. They recently upgraded to 4.0(4) from 4.0(3). Not sure if these event logs were happening before hand.

No worries here. Unity is just telling you it has started a new set of logs. The reason they are relatively empty is because there is no traces turned on.

H. M.

Thanks.

So anyway to disable these they don't create a bunch of event log entries unless there is really a problem?

I believe you can disable them by doing the following:

1. Open the Unity Diagnostic Tool under the "Start menu"->Programs->Unity

2. Select "Configure Micro Traces

3. Press the "Next" button.

4. Scroll to the "UnityDiagnostics"

5. Make sure "10 Informational - Logs trace activity" is unchecked.

6. Press the "Next" button.

6. Press the "Finish" button.
