Click to Call Dialing Rules

I am having trouble understanding dialing rules. Here we have to dial 8 to get an outside line, so I need to set a rule that 8 gets added to every number. Does the 8 go in the Number Begins With field? Then how does it know which numbers to apply this to?

Thanks!

Hi

You match the string that the CTI app (CUPC< click to dial, whatever) will have input to it. So match the numbers in 'whatever you are dialing from' (e.g outlook, web pages etc). You would then insert a prefix of 8 as part of the dialing rule.

you can check out this table, its a good start.

Also, when you add in the App Rules, it will take a little time for the CUPS to update its own tables. (if you are using the rules for this)
