Hello,
based on "Click-to-call Widget" datasheet (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6882/ps9156/at_a_glance_c45-487474.pdf) and the "Click-to-call release notes v8.0" (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cupa/click_to_call/8.0/english/release/ReleaseNote_c2c.html), I proposed this widget to a client using Outlook 2007.
Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work on the global address book. The attached picture explains what my client wants to do :
1 - access the global address book from Outlook,
2 - select a contact in the GAB,
3 - open the contact from the GAB,
4 - call the contact with Click-to-call
I saw no limitations or restrictions from the Cisco documentation. Therefore, I consider this should work.
My questions are :
- did one of you try to perform this action ?
- Is this supposed to work ?
- As this doesn't seem to be a limitation, can I open a case at the TAC ?
Thanks for your help,
JM
PS :
- I already read this thread : https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/1204412#1204412 but I would like some more information
- I know this can be acheive with the "Actions" menu on the GAL contact with CUPC... but my client didn't buy CUPC.

There is an enhancement bug already filed for this feature. http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCtd16602
Internally, I could see some activity on it during October 2011 as of recent. The action is still pending. For further details, yes TAC can be very much approached.
If the info helps, please rate the post.
GP.

Thanks for this precision.
As this bug is already known by Cisco, we'll wait for a fix.
