CMS Redundancy on Two Servers

Hey,

Clearly there is a requirement to have an odd number of CMS servers for redundancy. This seems problematic if your deployments consist of two C-Series servers for your collab apps. A "two-server" model doesn't seem to support the scalable and resilient deployment model.

So what are people doing? Clearly if you have many servers there's no issue, but if don't? Are people buying a 3rd server just for this? Is deployment of the scalable/resilient model on top of two servers problematic if one fails?

Anyone have any advice?

Thanks!

That depends, some people actually buy 2 x CMS 1K and then install the 3rd server for DB only on existing servers.

You can obviously install the 3 servers in the 2 C series, but then you'd lose either 1 or 2 of them at the same time depending on which one goes down.
