Im trying to determine my MTP requirements for a conversion/migration scenario. We want to move PSTN off a legacy CUCM/VGs to a centralized SIP trunk. Being that CUBE is not supported with CUCM earlier versions, we can push it through an existing 10.5 cluster then to the legacy cluster. We are assume right now ICT trunk between the clusters to keep the call flow up. But trying to determine if software MTP or hardware MTP off the CUBE or designated voice router for the calls is required.
PSTN---->SIP---->CUBE---->10.5---->ICT----->8.X---->SCCP Phone.
While this is an odd scenario I normally would not support, the customer is in a pinch at the moment.
Thanks!

I don't see any reason why this would not work without any additional hardware. I would assume the software MTPs would suffice.

Right, I would probably use software MTPs off the CUBE depending on the horsepower it has
