CUC and syncing to with Exchange "Room Mailbox" (Single Inbox)

Can anyone confirm my thought that Unity Connection can't sync to a Exchange "Room Mailbox" and it needs to be "User Mailbox" type?

I've looked through several documents and searched high and low and not finding anything on this yet to confirm. 

I have a client that wants to do unified messaging (sync) to one mailbox that is a "Room Mailbox" type and it isn't going to that mailbox. 

If we put the email address on a "User Mailbox" type the message is delivered there via Unified Messaging (Single Inbox).

I'm not a exchange expert but CUC only work with single user mailbox not distribution list of mailbox. Don't know if that answered your question.
