CUC/CUCM End User Pin Synchronization Questions

Hi Jaime Valencia,

I was able to successfully configure Pin Synchronization following the steps in your video: https://youtu.be/p6m4gPv0ikE

As noted at the 5 minute, 39 second mark, Pin Synchronization will not occur if a user changes their PIN using the "Set PIN" softkey of the Extension Mobility service.   

I find this interesting because Pin Sync does occur if the Pin is changed from any other location  (CUCM End User Configuration, CUCM Self Care portal, CUC Admin "Change Password", and from the TUI of a subscriber mailbox.)   

  1. Can you provide any details about why PIN Sync doesn't work through the EM "Set PIN" menu?
  2. Can I remove the "Set PIN" softkey from the Extension Mobility Service?
  3. (slightly unrelated question) I've uploaded the CUCM tomcat-trust cert to my CUC Publisher and the CUC tomcat-trust cert to my CUCM Publisher.   Would you recommend doing the same for my Subscribers as well (2 CUCM, 1 CUC)?
