We have a customer that is asking if CUCM platform uses native e-mail functionality below. I believe the answer is "no" but wanting to confirm before getting back to the customer. Please advise.
I'm following up on a topic around native e-mail functionality (*further explanation below) within some of the apps/tools we use. This functionality should not be enabled if someone is using a non-business e-mail application. This is to prevent a non-employee from getting an e-mail that provides the capability to connect into our business (a link in the e-mail for example). If disabling this feature would cause problems, please let me know so we can talk further about why we're looking to disable this functionality from our tools/apps.
Thank you.
Could you let me know if the tool listed below, uses native e-mail?
If native e-mail functionality is used, can you confirm that capability is removed/disabled, or only the business e-mails would receive any native e-mail that is sent?
Apps/Tools: Cisco Call Manager
*Native e-mail: E-mail functionalities built directly into the tool/application providing a user the capability to send and/or receive e-mail. These e-mails don't have to just be person-to-person, they can be triggered by a system event like a workflow approval or user action.
Examples:
A tool that sends an e-mail when a process fails.
An application sends an e-mail when there's been a ticket status change.
A project management app that sends task reminders or program updates.
