Hi,
for a test I am setting up a new deployment of CUCM 15.
I have created a bootable iso file. When I start the VM, it boots and I can fill in all the details for the config.
But when the actual installation should start, I get this error:
I found on google that I should use the second CD Rom drive of the VM, but then it does not even start the config and I get this error:
Does anyone know what is going wrong here? I am using vSphere Client 8.0.3.00000
Kind regards

You should not create a bootable ISO file, you should use the bootable file you get from Cisco.

This is not supported by Cisco and will invalidate any TAC assistance you may need in the future. As @Roger Kallberg mentioned, you need to obtain bootable software versions from us directly.

As I mentioned, it was just for testing purposes.
Is this new in version 15? I have done this before with older versions... I don't see what the problem is, because we still need to buy licenses to use the software...

Later version have some more security measures in them to protect against this, so yes it's pretty new. Bottom line you'll need to get the bootable image from the MCE portal.

As far as I know, creating bootable files using the methods described in forums doesn't work for version 15. This was possible in earlier versions, possibly up to version 14.
The only way to obtain it is to download it from the Cisco MCE portal, which may not be possible in your case. Another option is to reach out to a Cisco partner or local Cisco representative.
There are also dCloud labs and sandboxes available on DevNet if you need to test CUCM features:
