Hi
I am trying to install a device pack on the CUCM Publisher but when I choose 'Software Upgrades', 'Install/Upgrade', it gets stuck on "Loading, Please Wait'. I've come away and gone back 12 hours later and it's the same! As such I am unable to install an upgrade.
How do I get out of this? Is there a service I can restart?
Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,
Try restarting Cisco Tomcat Service
To check the status of upgrade from CLI execute below commands
++ show version active
++ utils system upgrade status
Below command will show success and failure of upgrade
++ file view install system-history.log
To Cancel Upgrade
utils system upgrade cancel

Many thanks for this, Mohammed.
I restarted TomCat and was able to go into the Install/Upgrade option.
However, when I list the SFTP directory, which has many firmware upgrades, I get the message: No valid upgrade options were found.
I ran exactly the same browse again on another CUCM server and was able to list all the upgrades in this same folder.
So this Pub is not recognising any upgrade files?

Hi Steve,
what is CUCM version and exact name of device pack you are uploading?
what is the reason for uploading DP ? any new ip phone model installation.

9.121
it's a new phone firmware which I've loaded onto all the subs and tftps.
The pub has recently been rebuilt due to a failure and this is the first time I've come to install a cop file.

You mean to say that your Subscriber is running latest firmwares of IP phones.
secondly, your Pub has been rebuild and you want to have same firmwares.
You can also downlaod respective firmwares for IP phone models and upload in PUB.
what is device pack you are uploading?

I always install any upgrade on all cucm's individually, I just can't upgrade on the pub due to this problem.
You need the same firmware to be on the pub right? Not just the subs.
It's the latest firmware for the 8831 conference phone.
Thanks

However the issue isn't the individual firmware file, the issue is my pub will not recognise any of the valid 10+ files I have in the sftp directory. All other cucm's retrieve the list of upgrade files without an issue...

Hi Steve,
can u try installing sftp in C:\ of PC and instead of creating folder /firmwares and copying the 8831 upgrade in this folder, do not create any folder and enter \ as directory.

Hi Aman
Tried that, same error. I see CUCM authenticating to the SFTP server and issuing the 'list' command. So this rules the SFTP server out as an issue...

Hi Steve,
Suggest opening a TAC case .
Tried search a bug for the issue but could not.

Thank you Aman.
Thank you Mohammed too.
I have configured the new load name from a sub which has replicated to other CUCM's and will open a TAC case.

Steve
