CUCM IP change causes "Database Connection Error" - Nodes defined by hostname

Hello guys,

I am having a weird issues with CUCM 11.5.1(SU2). This is MCS to UCS migration from v8.6. My method is:

- Create UCS VM v 8.6

- Backup MCS v 8.6

- Restore backup to UCS v 8.6

- Upgrade to  11.5

- Change GUI to be defined by hostname

- Add DNS

- Change CUCM hostname

- Change CUCM IP address

All is fine, and I could successfully change the hostname, reboot and login to the CUCM. At the very final step, now when I change the IP, I can no longer log into CUCM. I get "Database Connection Error" on the ccmadmin page.

I have seen this issue before when the System > Server does not match what is on CLI, but in this case the hostname is correct and the server is defined by hostname under System > Server, but still I cannot change the IP without this error. When I change back to the original IP on CLI, login works correctly.

Is it something getting stuck somewhere?

Thanks for all your assistance.

Ess

Hi Ess,

Please check the following doc for this specific issue, if the issue persists i would recommend engaging TAC to see if the entries in the database are being updated correctly
