CUCM - LDAP Authentication

Hello,

We have CUCM cluster which uses LDAP Authentication for end users (AD in our environment), and we have LDAP sync once a day at midnight. I always thought that end users are always authenticated against LDAP for every log in they make (for example, when an user tries to log in to CUCM User Option page, the CUCM will just forward the authentication request/info to LDAP which will authenticate the user). But I found that after an user changes his password, he could not log in to Jabber/User Option page any more until an LDAP sync is done (meaning that we need to wait until next day, or perform a manual LDAP sync).

Can someone enlighten me on this?

Thanks,

hoanghiep.

Unless I am mistaken, I have always known it to be a passive LDAP sync, and does not relay the auth request on demand, but uses its own database. I run into this quite often, so I have LDAP syncing every 6 hours to help.
