Hello All,
I am currently running CUCM 8.6. Everything works properly until one of the gateway endpoint's registration status becomes Rejected. The other endpoints work fine (Refer to the attached screenshot).
show isdn status shows the following (I also attached screenshot of this):
ISDN Serial0/0/1:15 interface
dsl 1, interface ISDN Switchtype = primary-net5
L2 Protocol = Q.921 0x0000 L3 Protocol(s) = CCM MANAGER 0x0003
Layer 1 Status:
SHUTDOWN
Layer 2 Status:
TEI = 0, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = TEI_ASSIGNED
Layer 3 Status:
0 Active Layer 3 Call(s)
Active dsl 1 CCBs = 0
The Free Channel Mask: 0x00000000
Number of L2 Discards = 0, L2 Session ID = 28
It is my understanding that if Layer 1 Status shows DEACTIVATED, it means that the cable might be damaged. However, the status above shows SHUTDOWN. What does it mean?
show controllers e1 shows the following (I also attached screenshot of this):
E1 0/0/1 is down.
Applique type is Channelized E1 - balanced
Receiver has remote alarm.
alarm-trigger is not set
Version info FPGA Rev: 08121917, FPGA Type: PRK4
Framing is NO-CRC4, Line Code is HDB3, Clock Source is Line.
International Bit: 1, National Bits: 11111
Data in current interval (481 seconds elapsed):
0 Line Code Violations, 45 Path Code Violations
0 Slip Secs, 0 Fr Loss Secs, 0 Line Err Secs, 0 Degraded Mins
0 Errored Secs, 0 Bursty Err Secs, 0 Severely Err Secs, 481 Unavail Secs
Total Data (last 24 hours)

407 Errored Secs, 45 Bursty Err Secs, 0 Severely Err Secs, 68447 Unavail Secs
I am certain that the framing and line code are correct, as the CUCM has been working for months without error in the endpoints.
show voice port s0/0/1:15 shows the following:
DS0 Group 0/0/1:15 - 0/0/1:15
Type of VoicePort is XCC
Operation State is DOWN
Administrative State is UP
The Last Interface Down Failure Cause is Administrative Shutdown
I tried shut no shut no the voice port to no avail.
I also checked the equipment from the E1 provider, and it appears that nothing is wrong.
Please assist me in this issue. Any help will be appreciated

Hi!
To check your E1, you can use the command "loopback diag" after that you can issue "show controller E1" and check the controller status, of it comes up, that means that the device on the other end of the circuit is not configured correctly.
