I am using the sample DBN script. The client would like it to search by first name. Is this possible? Can I also update that greeting? It did not appear to be a .wav I could change as it looks like it is called by the Name to User step.
Also, I guess after you leave a VM for a user, if you stay on the line, it tells you to press * if you want to check VM. The client would like it to disconnect after a VM is left and not be transfered to this menu. Is that possible?

The only way to search by first name is simply to reverse the first name/last name in each user's profile. Those fields are not used anywhere else, so it's not that big of a deal.
The audio file, unfortunately, cannot be changed.
You cannot change the conversation either (i.e. to not all the * key).

So, basically for DBN, it's not worth changing the parameters as you cannot update the recording.
Could I write my own DBN Script and have it flip the search properly and use my own message? I'd rather not have to flip the first/last name on entry as in the long run, someone will forget why that was done.

Actually, let me re-phrase. The only thing that CUE exposes is the "Name To User" step, which has a fixed search order. You *can* change the prompt to a customized one (e.g. change it to 'please enter the first name followed by the last name). In the Name To User step properties, under the Prompt tab, you can specify a custom prompt.
