CUEAC BLF issue

I just upgrade the CUEAC to version 8.6.2.20 from 8.5.1 and now the BLF feature is not working proper. The BLF service is working for 100-150 phones and then is getting frozen. I was told by Cisco that is because of several bugs related to upper case letters vs lower case letters in phones Device Name configuration, EM profiles and DN configuration/association in End user page. They recommended to upgrade to 9.1. but this requires new cost and work, and the customer is not happy about this.

I did a clean up of most of the configuration but still is not working all the time.

What I noticed is that the Attendant Console client is not staying in an active mode when the operator will sign out from the AC. If they login back the BLF is not working (most of the phones has the red cross).

If you go to the Preferences>Primary server and do a reconnect and activate before to login back in the AC client than the BLF is working perfect.

Did anybody had the same issue?

Thanks

Cris

Hi Cris,

Sounds like it could be this bug;

CSCuc68960 - BLF intermittently does not display line status for any device.

Description

Symptom:
This  issue happens  intermittently to customers, where it appears that while  all operators  are logged out of the attendant consoles the BLF service  stops running.  After operators log back into the client, they are  unable to see any  line status updates.
Conditions:
NA
Workaround:
Restart the BLF service.

Thank you Rob for your answer.

Even if I restart the BLF service or the server the behavior is similar.

Before the operators are logging in to the AC client they have to go in Preferences> Primary server and connect to the server and activate in order to have the BLF running.

One more thing I didn't mention is that restarting the BLF service from AC admin page doesn't work. I have to stop the CTI server service from Task manager first and then I have the option for restarting the BLF service.

All other services AC, LDAP and Presence working fine.

Any idea?
