Hi
I wondered if anyone can help.
I am having an issue with CUP 8.6.4 where my users cannot add contacts outside of organisation who run XMPP based presence systems.
Here is what we have.
1. Public DNS Entry for our CUP server
2. Public SRV entry for our CUP server with the following details _xmpp-server._tcp.<domain.com> 0 1 5269 <cup_server_DNS_name>
3. ASA at network border has bi directional rules for both NAT and Access to port 5269 we also have 2 UC proxy session licences
4. CUP server with XMPP Federation ON and UCP XCP Router Service Restarted
5. All routing is working as expected.
We have an internal DNS server (to support our AD and uses forward lookups for remote domains)
I cannot add any remote users (I have been assured I should be able to add contacts within cisco.com) to my jabber client and see presence status.
Also it would appear that the CUP server is not listening on 5269 internally or externally through our FW, the only tests I have done here is a straight telnet to the server on 5269 to see if I get a response. Nothing comes back either externally or internally.
I wondered if there were any CUP specialists on here that have come across this before.
Cheers
Steve
