CUP Installation - Critical Error "unrecoverable internal error"

Good morning Guys,

I'm a newbie here and I'm trying to learn more and more about cucm, presence and voice...

In my lab is one CUCM 10.5.2  and i switched the version to 10.0.1 to install the CUP server, because I don't got the 10.5.2 bootable installation media and can't upgrade whithin the installation. The previous discussion is here: https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12562201/cup-installation-upgrade-error-dvd-was-not-detected

I've open this new discussion because I tried another way to install CUP 10.0 and get another error. (You can see in the attachment)

"The Installation has encountered a unrecoverable internal error. For further assistance report the following information to your support provider.

"/usr/local/cm/script/cm-db1-install install

PostInstall 10.0.1.1000-26 10.0.1.1000-26

/usr/local/cm

/usr/local/cm/

/common/log/install/capture.txt" failed (1)

The system will halt now.

Continuing will allow you......diagnostic information before halting."

I use the OVA Template (cucm_im_p_10.0_vmv8_v1.1.ova) for vSphere. Anyone ideas?

PS. I found this workaround and try it now.

This Workaround didn't work for the version 10.0... got the same error as above.

I'm not sure, what exactly solve my problem - but the problem is fixed!

I read this topic:

So I check the DNS entries and found an old one. With a wrong hostname to the ip address of the cups..

Workaround:

I changed the hostname to the right one and added a new NTP Server to the CUCM and tried the installation of the cup-server again.

Can u share show version active from CUCM?

Are u trying to deploy IMP in Restricted or Unrestricted mode?

All nodes within a single cluster must be in the same mode. For example, Cisco Unified Communications Manager and IM and Presence Service nodes in the same cluster must either all be in unrestricted mode or all be in restricted mode.
