Hi All,
We've an interesting problem when trying to get Deskphone Video to work with CUP 8.5 and CUPC 8.5.1.
The client is configured and all functions (IM, Presence, Deskphone Control, Softphone, LDAP) work as expected, however, when trying to use deskphone video with a 99XX series phone, we get some interesting results.
If we select the 9951 (configured to support Cisco Camera and Video) in CUPC, but don't connect the Cisco camera, Server Health reports:
As soon as we connect the Cisco camera, Server Health continually switches between;
Anyone have any ideas? I'm awaiting the arrival of Michaels book on CUPS/CUPC 8, but until that time wondering if anyone has seen anything similar?

I guess the behavior was somehow expected (though not desired).
When there's no Cisco camera on 9951, the phone will try to work with the camera on the PC. This is very similar to CUVA with non-camera phones (such as 79xx phones).
When Cisco camera was connected to 9951, the phone will prefer the "internal" camera on the phone over the "external" camera on the PC. Cisco should make an enhancement on CUPC (and the 99xx phones) to give user an option to choose which camera to use.

Thanks Michael,
You're right, it would be great to be able to preference either camera, if only from a cosmetic point of view. Perhaps this can go on the wishlist for CUPC 9?
