Hi everyone,
I have installed and configured CUCM 8.6, CUPS 8.5 (90 day trial), CUPC 8.5.5 and 7945 IP Phone in my lab. I have End-user (Cisco170) on my CUCM, which controls 7945 and CUPC device and have associated line 170. Both devices has 170 line as well. I have created Trunk with proper SIP Trunk Security profile (Accept Presence Subscription, Accept Out-of-Dialog REFER, Accept Unsolicited Notification & Accept Replaces Header checked).
I can see my user on CUPS, I can login with CUPC, even make a call from my deskphone using CUPC. But CUPC device is unable to register on CUCM (I see status Unknown). I do not know why? When I go to System Troubleshooter everything is green. Is there something what I can check?

ps: I have IP addreses everywhere, no DNS names.

hi,
Have you configured your CUPC as softphone? Select CUPC to work as softphone, it will show as regestered.

Thank you very much,
The problem was that I use "Cisco Unified Personal Communicator" as Phone Type. When I use "Cisco Unified Client Services Framework" it starts registering. It seems CUPC Phone Type is deprecated or something in CUCM 8.x. This is little bit confusing

HI
(Cisco Unified Personal Communicator Release 8.x) Select Cisco Unified Client Services Framework from the Phone Type menu.
(Cisco Unified Personal Communicator Release 7.1) Select Cisco Unified Personal Communicator from the Phone Type menu.
