Customer wants to back out of AD integration

Hello!

My customer wants to back out of their current integration with AD, due them wanting more control with the user maintenance.  Can someone tell me if this is a huge undertaking or is it as simple as I think it would be.  For example, if you uncheck the AD option, do you also lose all the users that are sync'd from AD?  So, you have to manually enter each ID into CUCM?  This customer doesn't have a large user database - only about 100 users.  Thank you for any input!
