In a traditional backup and restore method, hostname, IP address and other stuff need to be the same in order for the restoration to be successful.
In the case of data import, has anyone of you tried to import backup configuration onto a different hostname, IP address and etc?
Existing: Cluster A
I am planning to create a new cluster (cluster B) with the same configuration as Cluster A, just with different hostname and IP.
Is this possible using data import method and any issues do you foresee? Basically, I just want to have 2 clusters with the same phone configurations and to retain the information of those currently logged in to Extension Mobility and PIN credentials - bulk configurations is not applicable here since it is just for configuration.
Any advise will be appreciated. Thank you.
