Hi Everyone
I have a strange issue at work that I have never seen before and I wanted to get some help. We have several blocks of DID's that we have purchased from L3 and the numbers will not work it you apply them directly to the line like it should. Instead I have to make a translation pattern of the number and have it translate to the extension. For example if you call 8178695505 with out a translation pattern it gives a message that says the number is not in service. But if I make a translation pattern of 8178695505 and have the called party transformation mask set to the extension of 105505 it rings. I really want to get this fixed because you shouldn't have to make translation patterns for numbers to work.

What do you get in the debugs from the telco for an incoming call?
What DN do you have in the phone?
If you receive from the telco 8178695505 (or even the last 4 which are the only ones that match) but the DN on the phone is 105505, then it's obvious it won't match and you need to adjust as necessary.

You know I'm going to call L3 tomorrow because all the phones in my location work fine. It's just when I try and setup a new phone and it should work but I'll work on it tomorrow.
