Hello All,
I have a question about the following situation for an end customer who has a CUCM cluster.
The lack of flexibility on the directory pushed us to use the directory to create users with external phone number (GSM, International partners,...).
What is the consequence of the introduction of the user licensing model on this situation ?
Is the licence only used when associated with a device ?
(The end customer doesn't want to use a third party directory or an LDAP integration.)
Thanks for your help

Today only device take licenses eventually when 9.X moves to a user based model it could change but today unless there is a phone/device licenses aren't consumed. Every user who derives services from ccm need to be licensed
Thanks

Hello,
I have moved your post to the Unified Communications section under Product Conversations and Sharing for better visibility and exposure to our Collaboration Community. If you want to pose questions specifically to the Collaboration User Group members, you will have to join the User Group (see the "Join Now" button on the Cisco User Groups page https://communities.cisco.com/community/technology/collaboration/usergroups). Once you gain access to the Private Collaboration User Group, you can post your questions directly to the group.
Thank you for participating, and we look forward to seeing you in the community.

Hello,
kelli.glass : Thanks for your action. Sorry it was the first post here.
Srinivasan Kilambi : Thanks for your help. So we will upgrade until things eventually change on the 9.x version.
By the way, the pb with the directory is that we can't have bulk common speed dials for all the users as on the CUCMExpress. Is there anything we haven't seen that can do this natively (not on third apllication...).
It was often difficult to justify that features like this one (+ paging,..) are availabe is smaller Call Manager products and not on bigger and more expensive solutions.
