Directory handler not recognizing subscriber

I have voicemail setup for a subscriber on Unity ver 3.1.4, but when you enter the last 3 or 4 letters of his name, it doesn't find any matches. I verified that there is a check mark in the "list in directory" check box under "profile". It works fine for other users that are set up the same way on Unity. I don't think this has anything to do with it, but this particular user does not have a greeting or recorded voice and the other users do.

Without a recorded name Unity wont list them for outside callers via the name lookup handler (they will, however, show up for other subscribers when they address messages).

We need a voice name so we can verify with the user that they have the right guy when there's more than one match to the spelling you entered - the only other thing we can do is voice the extension which, of course, the user would have dialed if they knew it already. If you record a voice name for this guy, he'll show up in the name lookup handler list.

I have answered my own question on this one. The subscriber must have a recorded voice or the directory handler does not recognize the account as valid and therefore informs the caller that it doesn't have any matching names.
