Hi all,
i was looking at the E-SRST feature. I've understood that for the version 8.6 the UMG in the central site was mandatory. For version 9.x, if i've understood correctly, now the UMG is not longer required but in the central site we have to setup the SRST Manager as a virtual machine, the license for that application is included with the SRST license for the branch router, so compared with the UMG solution, SRST Manager is more cheaper.
I'm not able to find out if this virtual machine can be installed co-resident with CUCM on the same UCS where VMWare foundation is used as VMWare license.
So UMG is going to be abandoned since also Unity Connection no longer require it for the SRSV.

Christian

Hi Christian,
SRST manager has very modest resource requirements, and we support co-existence with other applications.
Other UC applications might pose some restrictions on what applications can co-exist. I will let those teams chime in.
True, the old UMG software/product has been migrated to other tools.
Abhi.
