ELM Unity Connection Notification

Hello all,

We upgraded our CUCM 6.x, Unity 2.x from MCS to UCS 9.1.

We got one license file from license team which uploaded into ELM page successfully. License Team confirmed that issued license contain cucm & unity connection both.

My question, after uploading license into ELM page, do we need to add additional license into Unity Connection also (as we use to do in earlier releases for VM Ports, VM Box, CTI) ?

Because we are getting license expire notification on the main page of Cisco Unity Connection.

Hi Anis,

You do not need to upload any licenses separately on Unity Connection. You should open a TAC case with the Licensing team to sort this out. Please check the following for some relevant details regarding licensing in 9.x version.

Previously, a license file for a release earlier than Release 9.x might have had over a dozen attributes:

• LicSubscribersMax—Users with voice mailboxes

• LicIMAPSubscribersMax—Users with Internet Message Access protocol (IMAP) or Single Inbox access to voice messages

• LicVMISubscribersMax—Cisco Unity Inbox users

• LicAdvancedUserMax—Text-to-speech (TTS) and Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) (advanced users)

• LicVoicePortsMax—Voice ports

• LicRealspeakSessionsMax—TTS sessions

• LicUnityVoiceRecSessionsMax—Voice recognition sessions

• LicUnityVoiceRecSessionsMax—Voice recognition sessions

• LicSTTSubscribersMax—Cisco SpeechView users

• LicMaxMsgRecLenIsLicensed—Voice message recordings longer than 30 seconds allowed

• LicRegionIsUnrestricted—US English usage and personal call routing rules allowed

• LicVPIMIsLicensed—Voice Profile for Internet Mail (VPIM) Networking delivery locations allowed

• LicUCxnUpgrades—License files from previous releases allowed

• LicVMNIsLicensed—ViewMail for Notes feature allowed

With Release 9.x, this has been greatly simplified:

• CUC_Messaging—Total number of voice mail users

• CUC_SpeechView—Total number of SpeechView standard users

• CUC_SpeechViewPro—Total number of SpeechView professional users

• CUC_SpeechConnectPort—Total number of TTS and ASR sessions

Almost everything has been collapsed under the CUC_Messaging feature.  Most user features, other than SpeechView, are not licensed separately  and there are no longer port licenses.

thank for the reply. I did install licenses into ELM only.

I just found few days ago warning, please check the attachment & advise please.

     What does the Last Compliance Time mean in screen shot ?

Hi Anis,

You will need to reinstall the license file. If this is a production system then please open a case with TAC licensing team as they may need to reissue the file to you.
