I have re-enabled my notification device of "text for Unity inobx" to send me email when I get a voice mail msg but no email is being sent. I had this working before. Running Unity 4.0.4, SR 1 VM only.

This is usually a dns issue - specifically missing MX record.
So if you are sending an email to beth@verish.com, the dns handling the forward lookup zone must have a verish.com zone, and under that zone, must have a MX record pointing to the valid mail server.
Your next question is going to be why doesn't it work when the mail server is on the same server as Unity - the answer is that the dns server handling the forward lookup zone verish.com does not have a MX record. Even though you are on the same server, the client does not know.
Outlook client sending a message to another outlook client on the same exchange organization do not need mx-records because the internal exchange mta knows how to route messages.

I am certain that this is not a DNS issue. All of our employees (~7000) have this jpl.nasa.gov zone. The Unity server is a VM only deployment, no outlook envolved. This feature did work, last time I got an email notification was 2/17/05. Is there anything else you suggest? Thanks for the help.
