Error - while define cluster using PCD

Dear All ,

 

i have CUCM 8.0.3.23900-5 ( PUB & SUB ) on MCS   , i 'm trying to migrate and upgrade to CUCM 10.5  using PCD

when I'm trying to discover the cluster , i got this error on Pub only " Internal error "

please advice  ?

can u login into GUI of OS Administration of Publisher --Software Upgrade ---Install/ Upgrade  and check whether the platformcofig.cop installation file is getting hanged/stuck ?

Not sure but this could be the issue

Discovery not working on some clusters
CSCul69464

 

Symptom:
PCD can not discover some clusters nodes.

Conditions:
After upgrading the cluster to 8.0.x or 8.5.1,
then later, try to discover the cluster.
Some nodes time out, and are not discovered successfully.

Workaround:
CUCM
- Create remote root access to CUCM nodes
- Remove ?/usr/local/platform/conf/dynamicConfig.xml?
PCD
- Delete the bad existing clusters
- Run a new cluster discovery and make sure that you see Publisher in Functions column on CUCM Publisher node.

Note: After fix, if user does not see function label of Publisher for the CUCM publisher node, even after node is discovered successfully, then user needs to delete previous cluster for that node, and run a new cluster discovery.

i guess may be this is the issue :)

the PCD couldn't upload the cop file on PUB because of the License issue ,

but how could it upload the cop on the SUB !!

 

Hi,

this might have happened because the licenses are loaded only on PUB and not on SUB.

Wanted to know whether 8.0 is running on Demo licenses or  has perpetual licenses.

Hello,

 

You need to remove any temp license, open SSH to the Pub and check the following:

1. Any temp lic is Uploaded:

file list license *

 

2. Remove the temp license(s):

file delete license <licName>.lic

 

3. Restart license manager.

i don't have DNS , but about the NTP it is good and reachable
