We are using Unity 4.0.5 and were wondering if anyone knows a way to extend the amount of time allowed on a greeting message for a call handler. Right now we are stuck at 1:30 minutes and need about 3.

Hello -
We are running 4.0(5) and I am not aware of a time limit on the greeting of a call handler. Do you perhaps mean Message length? The default message length is 300 seconds (5 minutes). This limit is set or extended by updating the Messages page of the call handler. Look for the field "Maximum message length in seconds". There is a limit for subscriber greetings that is set using class of service. If your call handler is the greeting of an actual subscriber, then you can create a new COS with extended greeting time and apply the user to that new COS.

Actually in our callhandler settings, it's in the greeting page in the call handler. It's the greeting that we play when people call in to get updates on snowmobile trails in our area.We allow the department head to record her own, and when she calls the number to change around the greeting it shuts off while she's talking.

In the Class of Service that the department head is assigned to, go to the "Greetings" page - by default the max greeting length is 90 seconds - you can crank it up to 999 seconds here if you want. Pretty sure that's the limit you're hitting.
