All,
Has anyone expereinced a problem with CUCM 8.5 not handling "no coverage" call forwarding/routing correctly.
Phone A (x1111) has a Forward All to Phone B (x2222) with No Coverage to VM unchecked.
Undesired Result:
When a caller calls x1111 and the call isn't picked up on x2222 the caller is sent back to x1111 VM.
Expected Result:
When a caller calls x1111 and the call isn't picked up on x2222 the caller should be sent to x2222 VM.
CUCM Version: 8.5.1.14066-1
CUC Version: 8.5.1ES47.12024-47
Integration type: SIP
Thank you,

It appears you don't understand what no coverage means, that is used when you send the call to a line group and no one answers, if you have CFNA/CFB set to use personal preferences. THEN you use CF no coverage from the phone who sent the call to the line group.
What you're seeing is the expected behavior, you need to either adjust the parameter for which DN to use to select the VM box.
This is something that has been asked literally hundreds of times before, please search CSC for answers.

Jamie:
Here's the senario, there is receptionist who forwards his/her phone to an "emergency" CUC call handler greeting during a "building emergency".
The easy way: (the way that has worked in the past with SCCP)
Receptions CFA> Emegency# CFA> VM (This Emergency# is a CTI RP with CFA to VM.)
As you've identified setting No Coverage to "unchecked" doesn't do anything and no mattern what you always end up hearing the receptionist mailbox greeting.
The workaround:
CUCM:
Create a Route Pattern with the emergency number pointing to the Route List for the CUC SIP trunks.
CUC - Call Routing:
Forwarded Routing Rules - Create rule to for a Dialed Number matching the Emergency DN and send it to the Emergency CH
Direct Routing Rules - Create a rule to for a Dialed Number matching the Emergency DN and send it to the Emergency CH
Note: I just find it odd that i've never had to create these types of routing rules for this CFA>CFA use solution.
So, at this point i'm looking for another workaround that doesn't require adding DN specific Call Routing rules.
Thanks
