We had a user leave the company and a request was made to forward their old extension to another user's directory number. I forwarded this under the DN settings in CUCM and it forwards correctly whenever anyone calls. However, when voicemail answers it is of the original voicemail and not to the transferred number.
Directory Number Settings (of original number)
- I removed the Voice Mail Profile to <None>
- Calling Search Space <None>
In Unity Connection (8.5.1)
- Edited Transfer Rules to Trasfer Calls from Greeting to Extension of new number.
What else am I missing?

Hi Eric,
You can handle this a few ways
The easiest would be to remove the "old' user VM account and add the extension as an Alternate
Extension under the "forwardee" VM account.
So if the user who left was @ 4455 and the number where you've forwarded to is 6555. Remove
the VM box @ 4455 and then go to 6555 Edit > Alternate Extension > Add new and assign 4455.
or
You could create a Voicemail Profile in CUCM called "6555 Transfer or whatever" which points to DN 6555 (**Voicemail Box Mask = 6555).
Apply this new profile to 4455 (under DN config page VM-Profile) and when calls route through 4455 and forward to voicemail they will receive the 6555 Greeting etc.
Cheers!

That worked great as they wanted to keep the old one to review old/saved messages. Thanks!!
