I was asked to make some changes to this company's phone system because I took a two year internetworking course for a CCNA certification. To that end I downloaded Cisco Configuration Assistant, read for about an hour to be able to familiarize myself with its functions, attached my laptop to a
CU 500 series phone management device (via cat5e) and wondered why I knew nothing! I at least need to view the topology. What am I doing wrong where I can't access this machine?
