Good Day All,
I am having troubles getting prompt files converted and uploaded correctly to the UCCX server.
I was reading the manual and it said that the file format for G.711 should be the following attributes.
8.000kHz, 8 Bit, Mono 7 kb/sec.
.
I always thought that G.711 should be something like 64kb/sec.
Can someone confirm if this is the correct format.
The manual also specified that the file has to be a .wav file with RIFF headers.
I am using a combination of two programs to convert the files.
My windows WMA files get converted to a .wav file from an online link and then I use the Audacity file and convert them again.
Trouble is that the files are ten times the size of all of the prompts currently on the CCX server now so I know that something is not right.
Any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Also, if anyonw is using a program called Switch Sound File converter successfully please let me know.
I had the program in trial mode, but did not get a chance to use it.
The trial is over now and I need a file converter, just not sure which one to get.
thanks so much for any help.
Regards,
Amanda Lalli-Cafini

Correct 64kbps.
Audacity or any sound application can do this.
