Hey guys,
We have a client using Unity Connection 7.1.2 configured. How can they change the domain suffix for email notifications that are sent from Unity?
Can they just go to System Settings -> SMTP Configuration -> Server and change SMTP Domain there?
Or do they need to make changes to the smart host configuration as well?

The System Settings ---> SMTP configuration ---> Server and change SMTP domain should change the domain suffix. After you change it look at a user in unity connection and see if there email (which is greyed) out has changed to the new domain suffix.

In addition to what Jason mentioned, be aware that there is a defect with external message delivery breaking when the SMTP domain is changed. Some of the accounts that exist prior to the domain change may not get changed to the new suffix applied.
Once you make the domain change and restart Conversation Manager, at the CLI perform the following command to confirm all users' suffix all match:
run cuc dbquery unitydirdb select alias, smtpaddress from tbl_alias
If they do not, change the SMTP domain back to the old value, then restart Conversation Manager, then change the SMTP domain back to the new domain and restart Conversation Manager. Then re-confirm the suffixes match for all users with the CLI command again.
Hope that helps,
Brad
