Hi,
I have two phones with two extensions. User A DN 1000 and User B DN 2000. All the voicemails of User A mailbox on 1000 need to be forwarded to User B mailbox on 2000.
I have removed the voicemailbox of User A and added it as an alternative extension on User B voicemailbox in Unity.
But, when there is a voicemail in User A, it seems to be forwarding to User B, but it is asking for User ID and PIN. Is this the standard way it is working? or can't we skip this and set it to just leave the voice message without entering any User ID or PIN?

It is going to the sign in conversation. That makes it sounds like the calls to DN 1000 are getting to Unity as direct calls, not forwarded calls.

Thank you Elliot. How can we forward the voicemails of DN 1000 to DN 2000 voicemailbox?

Two additional options:
Option 1: Set up a Forwarded Call Routing Rule with a Condition of "Forwarding Station equals 1000" and an action of sending to the VM Box of User 2000. This will cause callers to 1000 to end up hearing the greeting(s) of the VM box for 2000.
Option 2: Set up a System Call Handler with an extension of 1000 where the After Greeting Action is "Take a Message" and then configure the call handler to send the messages to the VM Box of User 2000. With this option, you can have different greetings for 1000 and 2000, but all of the VMs end up in the VM Box of 2000.
For your current configuration: If the systems is asking for a user ID and password, it sounds like you are using phone 1000 and pressing the VM button. If you want 1000 to be able to press the VM Button and get the VM Box of 2000, you will want to set up a Voicemail Profile in CUCM that masks the DN sent to CUC with "2000" and assign that Voicemail Profile to DN 1000. That will cause CUCM to send a "calling party" of 2000 to CUC when 1000 presses the VM button. At that point, they would just need to enter the PIN.
Also, if you would like the MWI light to light up on 1000 when a vm is left in the 2000 box, go to the 2000 vm box and add 1000 as an additional number to be notified that there is a new VM.
