How to leave a Voicemessage without rining the phone while you are in Directory handler

I am using Cisco Unity connection 8.x. As you know if you dial into Cisco Directory handler of Cisco unity connection, you can search a user. After selecting the user, system will transfer the call on his phone. What I am looking for, after finding a person through directory handler, I would like to leave a voice message instead of ringing on his phone. Any idea?

You can achieve your objective by modifying the transfer rules of the user's mailbox. Go to the user and click on Edit->Transfer Rules. Click on Standard. Under the "Transfer Actions" select "Transfer Calls to: Greeting".
