I have a customer who is trying to load a phone firmware on some of their Cisco 7962 phones. They are currently on CUCM 8.6.2r. For some reason some of there phones that are in production today do not have the current phone firmware. They are planning on upgrading there CUCM to 10.5 in Mid-September.
I am looking for a step-by-step guide that walks you through the process. I am hoping somebody can help me? Thanks

The readme file provides step-by-step instructions:
For Cisco Unified CallManager 5.0 (and later), you must do all software installations and upgrades by using the Software Upgrades menu options. The system can upload and process only software that Cisco Systems approved. You cannot install or use third-party or Windows-based software applications that you may have been using with a previous version of Cisco Unified CallManager with Cisco Unified CallManager 5.0.
Upload to all servers in cluster and restart TFTP afterwards. Check compatibility matrix to verify an intermediate upgrade isn't required.

The process itself is really straightforward, see the other reply, make sure to read the RNs for the target FW you want, some of them require mid-upgrades, depending on your current version, also some new FWs are signed with the new keys, so you might need to install the new CUCM keys for the files to be recognized as valid, if there's a need, the README/RNs from the FW will say so.
Depending on the amount of phones, you might want to reset them in batches, or try PFS.
