Hi,
We are using ICM 7.5 with cucm 7.1 and ivr 7.x. I have one query, how we can play prompt to the out side customer when ivr is down.
Can we play prompt from CUCM or ICM. How ICM will come to know ivr is down.
Please help.
Regards,

Hi Dinesh
Should a call route to the IVR and fails to complete on the translation route it will always hit the default label.
You can configure a default label or the failure node with a label that is sent to Unity or some other voice system.
ICM cannot play any prompt it is only there for call routing.
As for how ICM knows the IVR is down, depending on your script you can configure it to monitor the avaliable ports and if it detect its down it will use the fail node.

Are you saying you don't have any voicemail platform at all?
Playing a prompt from CUCM isn't going to be possible, at least not a custom message. You could write a small TCL which plays media to the call leg if you like and is hosted on the gateway, but I must assume you have voicemail somewhere.
