Hi All
I have a couple of vic2-2fxo cards to test but I am have a hard time testing them,I have deloaded the document from cisco website and have followed this document but no joy.I will appreciate if someone can help me out with a working config. All I want to do is test this card by making a call thruogh this card.
I have the following as my setup.
1. vic2-2fxo card
1.vic2-2fxs card
1.2821 router
1.pvdm.
my IOS is okey as show inventory and show diag confirm the presence of the card on the router.I have been able to test the fxs cards through this forum help but the fxo has been cracking me up.
Any help will be appreciated as I have lots of this card to test,I am not okey with show diag and show inventory

Well you would need to wire the FXO port to an FXS port that will provide line voltage. Speaking of voltage you would probably want to attenuate the I/O on one side of the connection as there will be way less loss over that back-to-back connection than the routers are expecting.
As for a working config? Hm, pretty basic one that would allow you to dial a number which matches dial-peer 10, routes out the FXS port, which then arrives on the FXO port. When it arrives the PLAR command rings a phone.
!FXO Port
voice-port 0/0/0
connection plar
! (Optional - lower the volume levels by a factor of three
input gain -9
output attenuation 9
!FXS Port
voice-port 0/1/0
!Nothing really required here
dial-peer voice 10 pots
destination-pattern
port 0/0/0
