i need to change extension number for fax device ata 190

Dears ,,

i would like to change fax extension to be 215 instead of 1143 

when some one outside calling us and enter Number 6 for fax it's transfer to extension 1143

i need it to be on 215 this number when outside calling us for fax enter 6  it's needed to be transferred to 215

can i change the Directory numbers digits to 3 number instead of 4 mgogna

The directory number can be changed, you just need to make sure that the call routing is setup correctly on gateway and cucm to be able to reach this 3 digit extension.

i have cucm system version 10.5

i have all ip phones with 4 digits extension

i need to create 1 extension for fax so it will be 3 digits so i can get calls on fax from outside with this 3 extensions

i want to know how to do it on my cucm

If the Fax server is integrated via  a SIP trunk to cucm then configure a Route pattern on cucm with three digits and use the SIP trunk pointing to fax server in the route list.

it's configured as sip but i don't know if it's configured as sip trunk or no
