I'm installing a new unity 4.0.4.
After running the bulk import tool, I have a handful of users that unity would could not import.
I've tryed to add them individually. Unity finds them in AD but after I click on the add button, I get back an error msg: "unrecognized error 0x80070005 has occured. The new subscriber was not successfully added."
Anyone know what this is?
thanks

This sounds like a permissions issue - with the 0x80070005 error. Make sure that the latest version of the Permissions Wizard has done its thing
You should also make sure that these few users do not have 'inherited' permissions turned off -- check the security tab in AD Users & Computers under Advanced. If they are not inheriting permissions from the OU then my experience is that the permissions wizard will not correctly set permissions on the individual users (it seems to act on the container, assuming that the objects inside are inheriting).
Hope this helps,

I'm not too familiar with AD... Where is the advanced tab? I'm looking in the properties of the user but don't see it.

No problem. First choose "View" "Advanced Features" from the menu. Then navigate to the user in question and double click.
Click on the "Security" tab, then the "Advanced" button.
There is a check box entitled "Inherit from parent the permission entries that apply to child objects....." In my environment, if that is not checked, I cannot add the user because of permissions and I get the error you indicate!
