I am attempting to install a subscriber CUCM server on a brand new UCS C220 M3BE. The installation of the publisher went perfectly fine, when I am installing the subscriber, I get the following message:
The installation has encountered a unrecoverable internal error. For further assistance report the following information to your support provider.
Command "/opt/cisco/install/bin/pmNormalizeGeneric/etc/opt/cisco/install/component_install_cmd_list" has exceeded timed threshold of 3600 seconds
The system will now halt.
continuing will allow you to dump diagnostic information before halting.
I found the following: https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCti73841
But that is referencing an old bug. I am installing from the following ISO: Bootable_UCSInstall_UCOS_10.5.1.10000-7.sgn
Any ideas?

Hi,
Never came across this error.
Please check for the below info:
a.Is Subscriber added in Pub?
b. Is NTP syncronised on Pub ? you can check on PUB by running utils ntp status

The failure occurs after networking validation between the new server and the publisher.
The subscriber is added and NTP is okay.

Not sure how OVA template change fixed the problem.
I had the same issue and problem was clock difference between ESXi hosts running Pub and Sub. Once I synced both ESXi hosts to NTP, Sub install went through fine.

I had this same problem and the solution was indicated by vladmcisco

Important to note - I was using the BE6K C200 option in the OVA selection.
I tried it a few more times and it failed the same way every time.
I picked a larger (10,000 users) OVA selection and everything installed without a problem.
