Installing VMware Tools on Cisco Paging Server

Hello,

I have deployed Cisco Paging Server 8.5 and want to install VMware Tools on it.

I have tried clicking Guest > Install/Upgrade VMware Tools then clicking OK but the installation does not complete.

Are there further steps required to get this working?

What ESXi version??

I have it running on ESXi 5.1 and was able to install them without any problem.

I am running ESXi 5.1 which came pre-installed on a BE6000 UCS server bundle.

I was able to install the tools for UCM and Unity Connection ok but Paging Server does not want to seem to work.

I have found an article on the VMware knowledge base which shows multiple Linux cli commands being entered.

Did you have to do this or was clicking Guest > Install/Upgrade VMware Tools then clicking OK all you had to do?

Just used the install VMware tools option on the console and that was it.

Thanks for confirming what you did.

I will try restarting the server and doing the install again.
