IP Phone Registration During MCS to UCS Migration

Hi All,

I have query regarding IP Phone registration when CUCM is migrated from MCS to UCS.

Currently all the phones are registered with the CUCM-8.6 installed on the MCS Server.

We will be fresh installing CUCM-8.6 on UCS Server and then restoring backup from CUCM-8.6-MCS server to CUCM-8.6-UCS server.

Once we shut down the MCS server, will phones registered on CUCM on MCS server get registered to the CUCM on UCS server automatically ?

Assuming you're using the same network information, you cannot have the same info in two servers at the same time, you'd need to keep the new servers disconnected, wait for the old server to shutdown, and then connect the new servers.

Assuming all the network info and ITL is the same, yes, they should start registering.
