Im am performing a jump ugrade in couple of weeks from CUCM 7.1.5 to 9.x and CUC 7.1.5 to 9.x.
I was going over the steps for CUCM and the last step is to Rebuild the virtual machines to align disk partitions.
Because CUCM prior to 8.0 (2) are not supported on VM the partitions need to aligned
However, I went over the steps for CUC and i dont see any mention of having to Rebuild the Virtual Machine.
Is the VM Rebuild only necessary for CUCM and not CUC ?
Thanks

First of all, the jump upgrade procedure is ONLY supported for CUCM, no other product.
For CUC, you either follow the old path (upgrade on MCS to an ESXi compatible version so you DRS from MCS to UCS), or use COBRAS.
