LDAP - domain migration

Currently using LDS as we have multiple domains covered by our CUCM.

We are moving to one domain.

if a user account is renamed and this propagates through LDS will this flow properly through to the CUCM such that no changes are required?

Thanks,

Paul.

Paul,

Without a full understanding of what will be changing in LDAP, LDS and for the user, I will give you a tentative answer. You may need to ask further questions.

Each end user in UCM is associated with a specific LDAP synch, so if a user's actual LDAP synch changes, then the user will be considered a new user and not have it's information updated (actually, userid must be unique, so changing LDAP synch sources won't synch the user).

The key attribute for LDAP to UCM user is the objectGUID from LDAP. So as long as the objectGUID stays the same, user updates should be propagated to UCM.

So if you change 'domains', as long as the LDAP synch source and the objectGUID remains the same, then all other changes should be updated in the UCM user record.
