We imported users from our active directory into the defaultusertemplate and cos, but now we don't know what the PIN is. Where is that value set, and what is the default? If there's not a way to find out is there a way to batch edit?

Hi Ben,
If you want all users to have the same default PIN this can be done via Bulk Edit
Tools> Bulk Edit Utility> Users with Voicemail> Accounts and Passwords
If you want custom/individual PIN's set use;

When you LDAP integrate where do the PIN's come from?

Hi ben,
If you are just importing from and not authenticating against LDAP, then the PIN comes
from the Connection Template you used to build the users;
Note that no passwords or PINs are copied from the LDAP directory to the Connection database. If
you want Connection users to authenticate against the LDAP directory, see the “LDAP
Authentication” section on page 9-7.

Just to add to Rob's answers, the phone password (or PIN, which is used when accessing via the telephone interface) is always managed/authenticated against the Unity Connection database. LDAP authentication is only applicable for web applications such as PCA, Web Inbox, etc. You can update user PINs in bulk as Rob noted above and you can also establish a default credential that will apply when you create new users. This is applied within the User Templates but note that templates are only used when creating users (i.e., if you change template values it does not propagate to any existing users).
