Licenses and PLM request

Hi guys. Is it right/correct to generate PLM request to get permanent license and install  it if CUCM has demo licenses ?

I am not sure if it will cause some inconsistency with permanent , because of system had demo licenses...

Yeah, with the license request the license portal verify the licenses you have and update your licenses depending on the device where the license was hosted. SO I don't need to install old lic file because lics  were updated with new one.

It is perfectly correct to do so.

ok, another questions is :

After upgrade of CUCM there were permanent licenses upgraded to new version too. But because of some emergency Demo licenses were created later and installed . Now When I try to install permanent new version licenses PLM gives error that newer version of licenses were installed Already.

Do I have to  wait until Demo lics will be expired or there is way to delete Demo and install permanent one?

Thank you

What does PLM say? Can you share a screenshot from Licenses -> Usage?

Hmm, it's becoming interesting, I have ordered 1 new license for Telepresence room , created request in PLM then downloaded from cisco and installed it today. And looks like it did upgrade of my CUWL , Enhanced and CUWL messaging lics... U can see them in the picture as permanent.

Does it mean that 1 Telepresence room brings system licesnes to consistence (I assume that is possible because of cisco licensing portal does know which lics i should have and and by looking to that lic request from PLM it can bring all of them to the right order)?

Is this all correct ?

You better contact licensing@cisco.com to clarify. Do know that all of your licenses all tied to a licensing MAC (it is of hash of many different parameters on your server - IP, mask, gateway etc). So, Cisco is aware of what licenses are tied to this MAC and automates the upgrade process.
